An exhibition of comic figures
Recent Hollywood blockbusters such as "Avatar", "Harry Potter", "Star Wars", "Spiderman", and "King Kong" have hooked viewers. However, it would probably never occur to the audience that the moulds of various eye-catching characters and monsters in the films were made by Tianshan Studio, a low-key enterprise in Qishi Town of Dongguan.
As we all know, film props set the visual scene and can make a big difference to the overall feel of a movie.Props made by this studio in Qishi Town are so realistic that even blood vessels and facial hairare clearly visible in silica gelfigures. Moreover, Hollywood film producers can have special prop requirements satisfied, ensuring the studio can set the perfecton-screenshine.
Presently, about 80% of Hollywood films and television works use props produced by this studio in Dongguan. "Avatar", by well-known director James Cameron, swept the world, marking a pivotal moment in film 3D effects. Aircraft, spacecraft, and humanoids in the film were all made by the studio.
According to the studio manager, props are not cheap. In order to achieve a sense of reality, even parts that the audience cannot see are delicately made. "We are not simply making props, but also making collections. All the props here have a collection value."
